Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (training orientation Thursday-Saturday for 2 weeks; occasional weekends/holidays may be required)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive sleep studies including polysomnography, MSLT, MWT, and PAP titration
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, and ensure high-quality data collection
  • Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and adjust interventions as needed
  • Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events, then generate accurate reports
  • Provide age-specific care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Educate patients on testing procedures and maintain safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

  • Active RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sleep technology
  • Completion of an accredited polysomnography program or AASM A-STEP program
  • Experience with NOX software is helpful
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and some holidays

Education

  • Successful completion of a polysomnography program associated with a state licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility, or completion of an AASM A-STEP program with equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in polysomnography and sleep study scoring
  • Knowledge of PAP, MSLT, MWT, and oxygen titration procedures
  • Familiarity with NOX software
  • Strong patient communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle complex equipment and troubleshoot effectively
