Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Float within the Med/Surg Tele resource pool to units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous Med/Surg and/or Telemetry experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holidays
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
