Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Support residents during meals and hydration, documenting intake and output as needed
• Maintain a clean, orderly environment and respond promptly to resident call lights
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to provide the highest quality of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in West Virginia
• BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain before starting
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
• Must be local to the Salem, WV area and able to start ASAP
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident rights and HIPAA regulations
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Attention to detail with documentation and vital sign monitoring
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and support residents safely
