Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans for each child
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Monitor patient conditions closely and respond quickly to changes

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Pediatric or Med/Surg nursing experience is strongly preferred
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends as needed
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
• Skilled in pediatric medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent communication and family education skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
