Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient respiratory status and response to treatments
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilatory support as ordered
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust respiratory care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure respiratory equipment is clean and functioning

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist license (or compact acceptable where applicable)
• Current BLS certification from AHA required; PALS preferred
• Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist, especially in pediatrics or critical care, is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible PRN shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
• Familiarity with electronic health records
