Shift Type: Weekend nights - Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse needs
Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, discharge planning, and health maintenance
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa (compact license accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience preferred
Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to work weekend night shifts consistently
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in medical-surgical nursing, including patient assessment and care planning
Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong patient advocacy and interpersonal skills
