Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients in a long-term acute care setting
• Manage ventilators and administer breathing treatments
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as needed
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and equipment
• Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions

Qualifications

• Hold an active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an RT (preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable working night shifts and weekends
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor's preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and oxygen therapy
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of infection control protocols
