Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on a 37-bed Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications and manage IV lines, including PCA pumps and chest tubes
• Assist in heart catheter recovery and perform bubble studies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, techs, and clerks to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR system

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Telemetry experience
• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Previous travel experience to large teaching facilities preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and a positive, engaged attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Central line and medication drip management
• Heart catheter recovery and bubble study procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in Meditech (preferred)
