Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on the telemetry unit
• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with precision and care
• Document patient status, vital signs, and rhythm changes accurately
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
• Educate patients and families on heart health and recovery

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Virginia or a compact state
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Experience in telemetry, critical care, or acute care preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to prioritize care in a dynamic clinical setting
