Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry units, alerting the care team to any changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Respond quickly to cardiac alarms and emergencies, providing timely interventions

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Previous telemetry or acute care nursing experience is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and telemetry rhythms
• Proficiency in EHR charting and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
