Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments for pediatric patients
• Coordinate with families and the surgical team to ensure everything is ready for surgery
• Administer pre-operative medications and IVs as ordered
• Provide education and emotional support to children and their families
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Washington State
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Some experience in pre-op, PACU, or pediatrics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient demeanor

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Knowledge of pediatric pre-operative procedures and protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
