Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns
• Monitor maternal and infant vital signs and assess for complications
• Assist with breastfeeding initiation and newborn care education
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately in EMR system

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of postpartum or L&D experience
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring and postpartum care
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to adapt to different unit protocols
