Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to postpartum mothers and newborns
• Monitor maternal and infant vital signs and administer medications
• Perform non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, and insulin drip administration
• Manage magnesium and heparin drips for high-risk patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain a 3:1 to 4:1 patient ratio, adjusting based on acuity

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• NRP Advanced Provider certification (not Essentials)
• Previous Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience preferred
• Teamwork-oriented with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of postpartum and antepartum nursing care
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and medication administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume unit
