Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients in an 18-bed unit
• Titrate drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and administer chemotherapy
• Perform hourly rounding and bedside shift report to enhance patient experience
• Collaborate with nursing assistants, charge nurse, PT/OT, case manager, social worker, educator, and dietitian
• Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining same level of care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required; oncology experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Willingness to pass an open-book exam on orientation (90% to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Comfortable with high-flow oxygen equipment and Lyko lifts
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and common drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Protonix)
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude essential for unit culture
