Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients transitioning from critical to progressive care
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient status closely
• Administer medications and treatments with precision
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• Previous PCU, IMCU, or step-down experience preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in high-stress situations
