Shift Type: Variable shifts - 8, 10, or 12 hours, Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends/Holidays; on-call 0-3 times per month (8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends)

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients pre-operatively and during Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Monitor vital signs, assess incision sites, and track indicators of stability or complications
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and critical care to ensure safe post-surgical transitions
• Collaborate with surgical teams to deliver seamless patient-centered care
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including Meditech, PCA pumps, and Philips monitors

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in critical care nursing (ER, ICU) or PACU in a hospital setting
• Valid and active RN license in the state of Hawaii (or willingness to obtain upon acceptance)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification strongly preferred; NIHSS and TNCC certifications a plus
• Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in post-anesthesia care and critical care nursing
• Proficient in using Meditech, PCA pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV pumps, and other monitoring equipment
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of surgical nursing and pre-operative care
