Shift Type: Per diem shifts, as needed - 12.5 hours per shift

Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert perianesthesia nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs, assess patients' recovery status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support families, offering clear communication and compassionate reassurance during the recovery process
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Work flexibly across per diem shifts to meet patient care needs while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Oregon (or compact) with no restrictions
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience in PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations welcome to apply
- Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond to changing patient conditions with confidence
- Compassionate, family-centered approach to pediatric care
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of anesthesia recovery phases and post-operative complications
- Proficient in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and pain management techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of pediatric developmental stages and age-specific care
