Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate infusion therapy to outpatient patients, including chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids
• Administer various injections with confidence and care
• Monitor patients closely during infusions, assessing for adverse reactions and adjusting care as needed
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of 6-7 RNs to manage a daily patient volume of approximately 50 people
• Document patient assessments and infusion details accurately in EPIC
• Support patients and families with education and reassurance throughout their treatment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Valid driver's license (used to verify 50-mile radius rule)
• Chemotherapy certification highly preferred
• Must pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Infusion therapy including chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids
• IV insertion and management
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• EPIC electronic health record
• Injection administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center
