Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth operations
• Prepare and maintain a sterile, safe operating room environment
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, advocating for their safety and comfort
• Document patient care accurately and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in perioperative or operating room nursing preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification a plus
• CNOR certification is highly desirable
• A passion for working with children and their families

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and sterile field management
• Pediatric assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, reassuring approach when caring for young patients
