Shift Type: Per diem, 12.5-hour shifts, schedule varies by availability and facility needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, specialized care to neonatal intensive care unit patients
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Support and educate families during a critical time in their baby's life
- Document patient progress accurately and advocate for the best outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Prior NICU experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of neonatal assessment and interventions
- Proficient in electronic health records and medication administration
- Excellent communication and family-centered care skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
- Team collaboration and critical thinking
