Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to neonatal intensive care unit patients
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families during a critical time in their baby's life
• Document patient progress accurately and advocate for the best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Prior NICU experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of neonatal assessment and interventions
• Proficient in electronic health records and medication administration
• Excellent communication and family-centered care skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-acuity situations
• Team collaboration and critical thinking
