Shift Type: As needed, 12.5-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care to premature and critically ill newborns
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, adjusting care plans as needed
- Administer medications, IVs, and specialized treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other care providers
- Support and educate families through the NICU journey
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact RN license
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Previous NICU experience is strongly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong neonatal assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of neonatal pharmacology and dosage calculations
- Excellent communication and family advocacy skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
