Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for neuro stepdown patients with complex conditions
• Monitor neurological status, vitals, and response to interventions with precision
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery expectations
• Document patient progress thoroughly and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Louisiana
• BLS certification required
• Previous neuro stepdown, critical care, or telemetry experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in neuro assessment and stroke protocols
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring and interpreting rhythms
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent documentation and EHR navigation skills
