Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients in a med/surg/telemetry unit, tracking vital signs and cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and adjust patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and recovery strategies
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate as needed
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license, with the ability to practice in Iowa (compact license accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications are required
• Prior med/surg and telemetry experience is highly valued
• Willingness to meet all pre-employment health and compliance requirements
• A compassionate, adaptable approach to patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles
• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking abilities
• Proficiency with IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
