Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Medical/Surgical unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans for children with medical and surgical conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, promptly communicating changes to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Washington RN license (or compact license where applicable)
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS certification strongly preferred for pediatric care
• Prior experience in med/surg or pediatric nursing is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and developmentally appropriate care
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
