Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 12.5-hour shifts (no scheduled break); start/end times vary by assignment
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Medical/Surgical unit
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans for children with medical and surgical conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor vital signs and patient status, promptly communicating changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active Washington RN license (or compact license where applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- PALS certification strongly preferred for pediatric care
- Prior experience in med/surg or pediatric nursing is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and developmentally appropriate care
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
- Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
