Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a Medical/Surgical unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for children with a variety of medical conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the care team to ensure the best outcomes
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
• Create a calm, comforting environment that helps children and families feel at ease

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification (PALS preferred)
• Experience in pediatric nursing, especially med/surg, is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

• Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
