Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Medical/Surgical unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Document patient vitals, progress, and responses to care accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred, especially in Med/Surg
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong clinical judgment
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and medication administration
• Patient and family education and support
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• IV therapy and infusion skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of pediatric growth and development
