Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous Med/Surg or Pediatrics experience preferred
• A caring, patient-centered approach to nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
• Comfort with pediatric medication administration and IV therapy
• Ability to document accurately in electronic health records
• Adaptability in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
