Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document care accurately and follow all hospital policies and safety standards
• Support a healing environment that puts children and families at ease

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts or a compact state
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred, especially in Med/Surg
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, family-centered environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and medication administration
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Compassionate communication with children and families
• Team collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability
