Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity in every interaction

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact state
• Current BLS certification required
• Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; new graduates with clinical rotations considered
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medication administration systems
• Excellent clinical judgment and prioritization skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
• Adaptability to handle varying patient acuity and unit needs
