Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients across a wide range of diagnoses
• Perform thorough assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient vitals and responses to treatment
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and the care team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions to promote positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure a safe, healing environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Experience in medical-surgical or acute care nursing is strongly preferred
• A passion for making a difference in patients' lives and a collaborative spirit

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, acute care environment
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medication administration
