Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population with medical-surgical and telemetry needs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKG strips to detect changes in patient condition.
• Administer and titrate intravenous medications, including Heparin and Cardizem, as ordered.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and discharge planning.
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State RN license or compact multi-state license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Acute care nursing skills including medical-surgical and telemetry.
• Knowledge of common conditions: CHF, diabetes, UTI, sepsis, COPD, post-operative care.
• Ability to titrate IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
