Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to women during labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout the birthing process
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Educate and support new parents with newborn care
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum of one year of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal heart monitoring and interpretation
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
