Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and respond quickly to changes
• Assist with deliveries and provide support during emergency procedures
• Educate new parents on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, positive birth experiences
• Document patient assessments and care accurately

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Experience in Labor & Delivery or a strong desire to specialize
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
• NRP certification preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergencies
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR)
• Team player with a collaborative spirit
