Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients with complex medical conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide clear, supportive education to patients and families during stressful times
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Alabama or a compact state license
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
• ICU or critical care experience is a plus, but passionate new grads are welcome to apply
• Ability to think quickly and act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and hemodynamic assessment
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
• Comfort using electronic health records and medical equipment
• Ability to adapt to changing patient acuity and prioritize care effectively
