Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Continuously assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Educate and support patients and their families through complex care situations
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient documentation and handoff communication

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Previous ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICU monitoring equipment and ventilators
• Skilled in interpreting cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptable and quick to respond in fast-paced environments
• Compassionate patient and family-centered approach
