Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, 36 hours guaranteed per week. Weekend and on-call schedules to be determined by facility.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department
• Teach patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care seamlessly
• Triage and prioritize care for patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license or willingness to obtain prior to start
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years
• Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS certifications - willingness to obtain if not active at submission
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong nursing process and critical thinking skills
• Patient education and advocacy expertise
• Accurate medical documentation skills
• Excellent interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
• In-depth knowledge of Emergency Department procedures and acute care
• Certified in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS
