Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Pontiac, Michigan
Start Date: 08-10-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with rotating weekends (every third weekend)
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, from heart attacks to severe trauma
- Triage patients quickly and efficiently to prioritize care based on acuity
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic results, and adapt care plans in real-time
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
- Current TNCC certification (not ENPC) is required
- BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Expert knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Capable of managing multiple patients with varying acuity levels
