Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to stabilize patients
• Monitor vital signs and document patient conditions accurately
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
• Respond swiftly to life-threatening situations and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification is required
• ACLS and PALS certifications are strongly preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience is a plus
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and best practices
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
