Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient-centered care
• Respond quickly to life-threatening situations and stabilize critically ill or injured patients
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures with confidence
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and efficiently
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in emergency nursing, critical care, or acute care is strongly preferred
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing best practices and triage protocols
• Knowledge of medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and defibrillators
• Effective assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to document efficiently in electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication abilities
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
