Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients based on the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Respond quickly and effectively to critical situations and medical emergencies
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• ACLS certification required or must be obtained within orientation period
• PALS certification preferred for emergency department
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of emergency triage protocols and procedures
