Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Triage patients based on acuity and prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments with precision and empathy
• Monitor patient conditions closely and respond quickly to changes or emergencies
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state
• Active BLS certification required
• ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Emergency Department experience preferred, but passionate new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing principles and protocols
• Patient triage and rapid assessment
• IV insertion and medication administration
• ECG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
