Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department, managing a diverse patient population including pediatrics
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedation procedures, and other emergency interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech EMR
• Champion an excellent patient experience by communicating effectively and compassionately
• Adapt quickly to the high volume and acuity of a Level I trauma center

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Emergency Department experience
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Preferred: ENPC certification, Meditech experience, prior travel nursing experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including IV therapy, medication administration, sedation, and pediatric care
• Knowledge of trauma nursing and emergency protocols
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
