Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Start Date: 07-23-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with occasional weekend coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
- Monitor telemetry and interpret vital signs accurately
- Assist in trauma resuscitations and stroke protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Document patient encounters using Cerner system
- Coach and mentor junior staff and students
- Maintain a respectful and patient-centered environment
- Adhere to AIDET communication standards
- Support unit initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
- Minimum 1 year of ER experience
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong telemetry monitoring skills and ability to pass the tele exam
- Excellent teamwork, coaching, and flexibility
- Proficiency in Cerner documentation
- Commitment to patient experience and AIDET principles
