Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care during cardiac surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Serve as a circulating nurse, maintaining sterile field integrity and coordinating with the surgical team
• Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, responding to changes in condition
• Document all care accurately and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff for seamless care transitions
• Uphold high standards of infection control and OR best practices

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR or completed approved didactic class
• At least 2 years experience in ICU/PCU or medical/surgical acute care
• Minimum 1 year CVOR/Open Heart experience required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in cardiovascular operating room nursing and cardiac surgery procedures
• Proficient in circulating and scrubbing roles
• Strong critical care and patient monitoring skills
• Familiarity with sterile technique and OR equipment
