Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals in behavioral health services
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care journey

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations

Education

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and best practices
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation
• Skill in de-escalation techniques and therapeutic communication
