Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for patients with cardiac, stroke, ortho, ICU, neuro, and med-surg conditions
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, and home exercise programs
• Document patient progress accurately in Cerner EMR
• Participate in weekend rotation every 3rd weekend to ensure continuity of care
• Supervise and direct physical therapy aides as needed

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
• Open to first-time travelers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in acute care rehabilitation
• Proficient in Cerner electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload including stroke, ortho, neuro, and ICU patients
• Knowledge of stroke-certified facility protocols
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit requirements
