Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and overall condition during the post-anesthesia phase
• Assess and manage pain, ensuring each child's comfort and safety
• Educate and support families with clear communication and reassurance
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver seamless, patient-centered care
• Document patient outcomes accurately and promptly
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington State (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• PACU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• A genuine passion for caring for children and their families

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care standards and best practices
• Ability to monitor vital signs and detect subtle changes
• Excellent communication skills with children and families
• Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
