Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures to ensure a smooth patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop x-rays and dental impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans
• Manage patient flow and provide chairside assistance with a caring touch

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Radiography certification required
• BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Prior experience as a dental assistant, ideally in orthodontics
• Familiarity with Denticon software is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient service skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficient in taking dental x-rays and imaging
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control standards
• Comfortable using dental practice management software like Denticon
• Great interpersonal skills and the ability to put patients at ease
