Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintaining a clean and organized operatory
• Take dental X-rays and intraoral scans as needed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and post-treatment hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
• Support the team in delivering exceptional orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of a dental assistant training program
• Active Maryland dental assistant certification or eligibility to obtain
• Experience working in an orthodontic practice
• Radiology/X-ray certification preferred
• A passion for patient care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Familiarity with Denticon or other dental practice management software
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and a gentle, patient-centered approach
