Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient patient visits
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, upholding the highest standards of safety
- Take dental X-rays and impressions, helping to create precise treatment plans
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care, making their experience positive
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation with meticulous care
- Collaborate with the dental team to foster a welcoming and organized environment
Qualifications
- Completion of a dental assisting program or accepted on-the-job training
- Orthodontic experience is a plus, but not required - new graduates encouraged to apply
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it before your start date
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental X-ray techniques and strict adherence to safety protocols
- Solid understanding of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization best practices
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and patient management
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Compassionate patient care and confident chairside assistance abilities
